The Dover-Sherborn Cable Television Film Festival is a promotional event highlighting local amateur filmmaking in Massachusetts. Entrants are asked to produce a film no longer than eight minutes in one of the following age categories:
  • Pre-K thru Grade 8
  • Grade 9-12
  • Adults
All films must be uploaded to YouTube and will be judged by a panel of judges.  Entrants placing in the top three in each category will be informed via email with their placement announced at a screening in 2018. Finalists will be featured on air and receive the following prizes:
  • 1st Place in each category: $200
  • 2nd Place in each category: $100
  • 3rd Place in each category: $50
To be eligible, films may be of any subject matter so long as they meet the exhibition standards of acceptable content for both the Dover-Sherbon Regional School Campus and YouTube’s content standards. Such determinations will be made by the judging panel.

Filmmakers wishing to participate should upload their film to YouTube and either complete the submission form online or deliver the form below to the studio either by mail, in person, or via e-mail to [email protected]  The subject of the e-mail should be “DSCTV Film Festival.” Prizes will be awarded to the first signatory on the submission form.

The deadline for submissions is January 26, 2018.  One entry per person, less than eight minutes in length, and meet criteria as indicated above. Good luck to all participants!

purposes related to the festival and for broadcast on television stations operated by
DSCTV; that DSCTV will handle the prints, tapes, and accompanying PR and
supporting materials with care but cannot be held liable for any damages or loss
during shipping, use, preview, or screening; and that DSCTV is also not responsible
for any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, or royalty infringement regarding
the work. I also understand that the work must be acceptable for exhibition on school
grounds to be eligible for screening and prizes, and such determinations will be
made by the DSCTV judging panel at their sole discretion.
